Regency convex mirror
1544/17: A good quality early 19th century Regency period CONVEX MIRROR in very good original condition. Of typical form with 'close-ball' decoration to the concave frame; and a carved and gilded collar, plus a pair of gilded candle-holders on either side, it features a very rare pediment to the top. Normally an eagle or perhaps a hippocampi, this good mirror is surmounted by a fierce Dragon ~ a feature we have not seen before ~ complete with scales; wings and a pointed tail. 42ins high; 29ins wide (107cms x 74cms)
