18th century racket Clock
1529/17: John Smitheys of LONDON: a good quality and original 18th century verge BRACKET CLOCK in perfect working order. The case is ebonised with cast brass upper carrying handle; pineapple finials; arched front door with spandrels and ebonised bracket feet. The 8-day movement retains its original verge movement, striking hours on a bell, whilst the good dial has "Strike/Silent" control in the arch; engraved and silvered chapter-rings and date aperture above "VI".
