George III corner cupboard
1512/17: An exceptional 18th century George III period mahogany CORNER CUPBOARD of particularly good warm colour and patina. Surmounted by a carved "Swan-neck" pediment with a central urn finial, and with dentil carving to the frieze, the door features a fine solid mahogany "fielded" panel with chamfered edges and re-entrant corners. This door opens to reveal fitted shelves within and is flanked by stop-fluted columns to the canted corners. Working lock and original key. Definitely a cut above average! 40ins high; 48ins high including pediment; 20ins wide to the front. (101 x 122 x 51cms)
