Victorian stick barometer
1457/17: An handsome and impressive mid/late Victorian oak STICK BAROMETER in full working order. By James Gargory of Birmingham, this good barometer is typical of the "high" Victorian period with its large mercury column; heavily carved finial and similarly carved cistern cover. It is signed to the glazed register plates and features a long thermometer to the trunk and original bone keys. 40ins (102cms) high overall. *James GARGORY worked at Nos 4/5 Bull Street, Birmingham 1835-1860.
