Fine Regency Serving Table
1397/17: A wonderfully impressive and superb quality early 19th century mahogany SIDEBOARD or SERVING TABLE. Almost certainly by either Gillows of Lancaster or Trotter (of Edinburgh) this thoroughly original piece features a shaped backboard inlaid with ebony stringing; a one-piece top of excellent figuring and patina whilst it is supported on beautifully carved 'Classical' legs which terminate in good carved scroll feet. The frieze features a long bow-fronted central drawer, flanked by twin small drawers, both of which are lined in burgundy baize. *A gorgeous Serving table ~ perhaps also ideal for use in a large impressive hall? 77ins long; 34ins high; 26.5ins deep. (195 x 86 x 67cms)
